The Prothane Red Front Control Arm Bushing Kit, the unrivaled choice for 2001-2007 Chevrolet and GMC heavy-duty trucks. Engineered for superior durability, precision handling, and unmatched reliability, this kit outperforms all other aftermarket and OEM options, making it the top choice for enthusiasts, off-roaders, and daily drivers alike. Crafted from high-performance polyurethane, Prothane bushings deliver exceptional resistance to wear, harsh conditions, and high-stress environments, ensuring your vehicle maintains optimal alignment and control for years to come.
Why Prothane?
- Unmatched Performance: Unlike rubber OEM bushings that degrade quickly, Prothane’s polyurethane formula provides superior compliance resistance, reducing control arm deflection and enhancing steering precision. Experience tighter handling, improved cornering, and a firmer ride that outperforms competitors like MOOG, AC Delco, and Energy Suspension.
- Long-Lasting Durability: Polyurethane construction resists oil, road salt, UV rays, and extreme temperatures, outlasting rubber bushings by years. Prothane’s lifetime warranty guarantees peace of mind for the original purchaser.
- Perfect Fitment: Designed specifically for 2001-2007 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra HD models, this kit ensures a seamless installation with no guesswork. Prothane’s precision engineering eliminates fitment issues reported with lesser brands.
- Enhanced Ride Quality: Reduces suspension slop and improves front-end feel, making your truck feel like new. Ideal for towing, hauling, or aggressive driving.
- Vibrant Red Finish: Not only functional but also visually striking, the red bushings add a bold, custom look to your suspension.
Included in the Prothane Kit?
The Prothane 7-237-BL Front Control Arm Bushing Kit is a complete solution for replacing worn-out bushings in both upper and lower control arms on both sides of your vehicle. The kit includes:

- 4 Metal Sleeves for Lower Control Arms: Precision-machined sleeves for the lower control arm bushings, designed to accommodate factory bolts (5/8” diameter). Note: Upper control arm bushings require reusing factory sleeves or custom machining in some cases.
- Prothane Super Grease: Specially formulated grease to lubricate bushings during installation, preventing squeaking and ensuring smooth operation. Additional grease packets available for purchase.

Installation Tips
- Preparation: Burn out old rubber bushings from upper control arm sleeves (if reusing) and clean thoroughly. Lower control arm sleeves are included but may require deburring or slight machining for perfect bolt fitment.
- Orientation: For lower control arm bushings, ensure the shoulder faces the front of the vehicle.
- Grease Application: Apply Prothane Super Grease generously to all bushings to prevent squeaking. Black bushings contain graphite for added squeak resistance.
- Alignment: After installation, get a professional alignment to optimize camber and toe settings. Marking camber/toe plates before disassembly helps maintain a good starting point.
Tools Needed: Hydraulic press for bushing removal/installation, 5/8” drill bit (if sleeve machining is required), and standard hand tools.
